Communications and Information Security Experts from Ukraine Visited Estonia
In November 2019, more than 20 representatives of various partner organisations, local municipalities and regions of the South-East of Ukraine, journalists, public figures, opinion leaders and civil experts in the field of communications and information security visited Estonia to get acquainted with the Estonian colleagues and exchange experiences, as well as discuss ideas for joint projects.
The week-long study visit, organised by the ICDS, began in Tallinn with a public discussion entitled “Disinformation threats and modern politics: is it worth regulating the virtual environment?” in the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event gained great interest and attracted also the official delegation of Ukrainian parliamentarians together with the ambassadors of Ukraine and Germany. In total, more than 100 participants attended the public discussion in Tallinn.
The study visit continued in the North-Eastern Estonia where Ukrainian delegation participated in and contributed to the work of the international autumn school on cognitive resilience, communication security and countering disinformation.
