Together to Resilient Europe

The NGO “Resilient Ukraine” took part in the workshop “Matching Resilience and Civil Preparedness in Allies and Partner States: NATO Policies, Ukraine’s Practices,” held at the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine.

The main focus was on how to transform Ukraine’s experience of full-scale war into practical tools for allies and partners: civil preparedness, continuity of governance, protection of critical infrastructure, community resilience, countering hybrid threats and FIMI.

For our organisation, the practical dimension was particularly important: simulation exercises, assessment of community and system resilience, and the development of joint training formats for civil-military cooperation.

The same logic lies at the heart of NATO’s approach to resilience following the 2016 Warsaw Summit: resilience should be a capability that can be trained, tested and improved.

The workshop also addressed the institutionalisation of resilience and comprehensive defence in Ukraine and allied countries.

The Estonian-Ukrainian team of "Resilient Ukraine" stands ready to continue sharing its expertise with partners on the practical implementation of crisis management systems.
