Blitz interview with Lt. Gen. Budanov during the International Forum “Information Warfare: from Resistance to Resilience”

Director-General Dmitri Teperik held a blitz interview with Lt. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, during the International Forum “Information Warfare: from Resistance to Resilience”, organized by Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Institute of National Resilience and Security with the support of NATO Representation to Ukraine.

The conversation focused on key challenges:

🔹 how cognitive superiority is becoming part of Ukraine’s national security system;

🔹 what approaches are needed to strengthen civil resilience against information manipulation;

🔹 how innovations, including artificial intelligence, influence the future of strategic communications;

🔹 why international coordination and joint action are crucial in the field of cognitive security.

Key takeaway: this war is not only about weapons or territories. It is about people, their minds, and their ability to resist aggression on the level of ideas and narratives. Ukraine is not just defending itself — it is shaping a new model of resilience and strategic communications for the whole of Europe.
